Antoine Greizmann - Premier League or Serie A?

Transfer Market is a very exciting time, it is like a Night Shyamalan movie. You cannot guess the climax, because your guess will be wrong. It has thrills, suspense, excitement, plot twist and intriguing climax, sometimes we don't understand climax. Similarly there will be lot and lot of rumours about a club and a player but the player might end up with a totally unexpected club. The most recent example I remember is of Nabil Fekir, there was all rumours about him joining Liverpool but he ended signing for a totally unexpected Real Sociedad.

             

A year back Antoine Greizmann was World club winner and a player any clubs would splash out millions on. He ended signing for the mighty Barcelona but things don't seem to have planned out well. Barcelona has a history of always having a star studded front three Ronaldinho-Messi-Eto, Henry-Zlatan-Eto, Messi-Eto-Henry, Messi-Suarez-Neymar. Messi-Suarez-Neymar was a prolific partnership. But after the end of this partnership, they have not been able to build a combination that Barcelona is known for. When Neymar was sold to PSG, Barcelona wanted someone to replace Neymar, and they signed Dembele from Dortmund and then Coutinho from Liverpool. Dembele has been injury prone and Countinho did not achieve as much success as expected, so Coutinho was sent out on loan and Greizmann was bought to take his place.

Greizmann too has not found expected success, to make matters worse there are reports of him having a troubled relationship with manager Quique Seniten and Lionel Messi. Greizmann has only scored 14 goals in a total of 43 games he played for Barcelona. This might be his only season with the club and he could be on his way out.

We will have a look at few clubs that could sign him. Lets discuss club by club.

Inter Milan

Barcelona have been interested in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez from long time. Greizmann could be well utilised as a part of this deal. A swap deal would be beneficial for both the clubs.

            

Arsenal

Arsenal can be dark horses here. Arteta is having a troubled relationship with Guendozi and he might be leaving the club soon. Aubameyang too seems to be demanding a transfer, so Arteta could well utilise the money from these deals to get Antoine Greizmann in his squad. Arsenal could also offer Aubameyang as a swap deal for Greizmann.

                 

                 

Manchester city

Manchester City and Guardiola will not lose the chance to sign a player of Greizmann's calibre. We all know City has the resources and they are always active in the transfer market.

Manchester United

Manchester United is missing a prolific striker in the front. They have a settled midfield now, so Ole would putting all his attention to get a good striker. There have been reports of Manchester United's interest in Harry Kane. With all the top premier clubs busy rebuilding their squad to compete with Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool. They could well turn their attention to Antoine Greizmann.

Chelsea

Chelsea could have been a top contender but as they have already signed Timo Werner, they might not be interested. But as I said anything can happen in transfer market, we can't rule out any possibility. Lampard is building a strong team to compete with top European clubs and Roman Abramovich is providing him with all the support he needs.

We can wait and watch where Greizmann would end up playing next season. We all know that he is a quality player, he just needs a right team to get back to his old self. As they often say'Form is temporary, Class is Permanent'.
