Even the darkest cloud has a silver lining. While many of us may be using our time indoors lazing around, there are gentler ways of finding our potential in the pandemic.
The lockdown has and will be a very special time in our lives, a time like no other. Forced to spend time at home, we have seen heroic social media posts on cooking valour, our expansive generosity- no other species can be capable of.
Here are the few things we could do to utilize our time better.
1. Quality time with family. When was the last time you could spend so much time with your family. Many of us are finding staying at home an opportunity to strengthen family relationships through cooperative activities and shared entertainment. Once we get over this pandemic we never know when will we get a time like this, where we could spend so many days with our family.
2. Utilize your time in reading something, Nowadays there are quite a lot of content available on the web. Utilize your time to read something positive, there is no shortage of negativity around us, look for articles that will leave a smile on you. Something that will make you feel fresh.
3. Most of the people spend their time on Netflix and Amazon. Netflix and Amazon are more than movies and webseries. There are many beautiful docuseries on travel and science which I am sure will leave with some new learning.
4. Get the house spring cleaned, when was the last time you checked behind your cupboard, when was the last time you cleaned your fridge. There are many areas in your house which no one has ever thought of cleaning. It is the time when you can target those areas one by one each day.
5. Lockdown is not all about lying on your bed and reading or watching Netflix. As someone has rightly said health is wealth, Dedicate some time of your day for some work out. Exercise not to build your muscles but to keep healthy and active. You don't have to do weight training or cardio, it could well be a light yoga session or a light exercise with stretching.
6. Eat an appropriate and balanced diet. During the time of the Coronavirus Pandemic, it is crucial to eat have immunity-boosting food like orange, ginger, etc. Avoid greasy and junk food that will make you bloated. At the same time go to bed at the right time. Keep your phone away during sleep time. Sleeping early will help you have a proper 8-hour sleep and you will wake up fresh.
We wish this lockdown will be over as soon as possible and it will happen.
I strongly believe everything happens for a reason, and the reason behind COVID-19 is that people should know the importance of time, importance of nature, importance of family. This is a really stressful situation but don't stress yourself keep yourself busy in one way or other.
