The New Inter Milan

Serie A has been dominated by Juventus from past few seasons. Though lately there have been odd challenges thrown by teams like Napoli and Lazio but no team has given a fight, atleast not unlike AC Milan & Inter Milan of the 1990's and 2000's. Inter Milan under Antonio Conte are on their way to build a powerful team.CContehas already managed to sign Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen from Premier league.

Conte is gradually building his team and trying to cover every position. He has his sights set on William Carvalho of Real Betis for defensive midfield position. Conte also has the Brescia youngster Sandro Tonali in his sights, who is dubbed as 'The next Andrea Pirlo'. The other area which Inter will be struggling next season is Full backs. They have been playing with loanee's this season  Victor Moses (on loan from Chelsea), Biraghi(on loan from Fiotentina) and Ashley Young. 33 years old Antonio Candreva was also utilised as a wing back many times.

There were rumours lurking around Inter Milan's interest in Manchester City' s Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo. Kyle Walker already is in his thirties and a player who Pep would not be interested in selling considering his versatility. On the other hand Cancelo would be a good investment with his Serie A investment but would be an expensive buy.

Inter's approach for  21 year old Moroccon full back Achraf Hakimi is a very intelligent move. He has 9 goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season and while there are question marks over his defensive ability, his style of play would certainly fit into Antonio Conte’s wingback-oriented system. The player  has impressed this season whilst on loan with Borussia Dortmund, will cost the Milanese club around €40-45 million, with Inter offering Hakimi a five-year contract worth €5 million net per season.

There are other top teams eyeing a deal for Hakimi, which includes Bayern Munich and PSG. Borussia Dortmund already seems to have completed a deal for free agent Thomas Meunier, which makes it certain they are not interested to buy the moroccon star. In that case Borussia Dortmund would be planning to give a fitting farewell to him after their final game today. It would be interesting to see if Real Madrid is really interested in selling a prodigy like him.

If the reports are to be believed the deal is edging to the final stages. A €40-45 million deal would be definitely a steal. If Inter Milan manages to complete all the deals that they have set their eyes on, then definitely Antonio Conte's side would be a force to reckon next season. A deal in itself is a positive statement from the Nerazzurri.
