Liverpool's best player of the season

Liverpool have enjoyed a phenomenal premier League season. They have already clinched the title with 7 games to play. Now that the premier League is in the cabinet, question arises who has been their standout player this season.
Though many will agree it has been a team effort, wherein everyone played their part.
We will look into the performances of few players who have stood out from the rest.

Sadio Mane
Mane has 15 goals and 7 assists that means he has been involved in 22 goals this season.
Mane has transformed into a totally different player under Jürgen Klopp. The combination of Mane and Salah has been lethal alongwith Firmino who can considered as underrated player. He is one of the top contenders for Liverpool's player of the season.

Mohammed Salah
Who would have believed a Chelsea discard few years back will be on his way to become a Liverpool legend in few years. When we talk talk about Mane we cannot leave out Salah. One could argue it has been a mediocre season for him as per his standards. Salah has managed to score 17 goals and piled up 7 assists. Even after scoring 17 goals in 27 games he played and still consider it as a mediocre performance then one can very well understand the standards set by this player. On his day there is nothing a defender can do, the Eyptian King 'Mo Salah' is as always a contender for player of the season.

Trent Alexander Arnold
21 year old fullback has contributed offensively as well as defensively. TAA has long way to go in his career and he looks to be on his way to break many records. He already has champions League, UEFA super cup, club world cup and now premier League under his name. He is slowly becoming a freekick specialist. His goal against crystal palace is a proof of that. TAA has 3 goals and 12 assists under his name. Defensively he averages 1.2 interceptions per game which is better than Virgil Van Dijk. His crosses has been a nightmare for opposition defenders. TAA has a total of 332 crosses this season, the highest in premier league. He has the potential to become a Steven Gerrard'sque kind of figure in Liverpool.

Virgil Van Dijk
Undoubtedly one of the best defenders of this era. Last year's Balloon d'or runner up. He has played every premier league game for Liverpool this season. VVD has 14 clean sheet in his 31 games he has played till now. VVD has only commited 12 fouls this season and has received only 1 yellow card this season. Those are some extraordinary figures. He has been the heart of defence and highest passes completed this season with 2414. You got to have a defender like VVD if you are dreaming of winning titles. He is doing it in style. There are no defender at present in premier league with VVD's class.

Jordan Henderson
There are many who doubted Jordan Henderson's credentials, but he has time and time delivered when required. The 30 year-old has 5 assists and 3 goals to his name this season. He has been one of the quite underrated players. He quietly does his job without making much fuss about it. One of Jürgen Klopp's favourites. You can not fathom winning a league without a player like Henderson.

Andrew Robertson
Andrew Robertson is considered one of the best in his position by far. Though his offensive statistics are very good but can't be compared to TAA. Robertson has 1 goal and 8 assists to his name in 29 games that he has played. He has a better tackle average per game compared to TAA and VVD. A few years back he was plying his trade in Scotland, released by Celtic in 2009, he would not have imagined he would be holding champions League, UEFA supercup, Club World Cup and Premier league by 2020. Robertson has been consistent from the time he joined Liverpool. He has has a major role to play in Liverpool's recent success.

I would like to specially mention few more nesnwithout whom a phenomenal achievement like this would not have been possible Robert Firmino, Gigi Winjaldum and Fabinho,

It would be tough to chose the best player, I feel it is going to be tight between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk.
